Designs For a Cooler Planet took over the Aalto campus earlier this autumn inviting thinkers, researchers and leaders across the globe to reflect on Acts of Change, emphasising that positive change requires intention and action; the world will not transform on its own. As part of Designs For a Cooler Planet, Luova Lämpiö exhibited projects that were executed as part of its research.
The Luova Lämpiö project explores new ways for creative professionals, entrepreneurs, and businesses from different fields to work together. The project is part of a broader Aalto Artpreneurship initiative, which supports artists, designers, and creatives in building ethical and sustainable practices and understanding the changing dynamics of creative work. The research has been conducted by Artpreneurship research group and is funded by Business Finland and NextGenerationEU.
This exhibition introduced Artpreneurship and showcased the projects created in Luova Lämpiö, scroll below to see the videos. The projects were a collaboration between Luova Lämpiö company partners, creative professionals and the research team. The process was as follows:
Co-initiation is the first phase of collaboration between the research team and partner companies. Its goal is to define a co-challenge, a topical issue relevant to the company and research team which creative professionals ideate possible solutions.
The Challenge Lab phase included an open call and workshops, during which artists and creative professionals formed teams to address the challenges defined in co-initiation.
The Co-creative process is a creative process period during which selected creative teams were given a budget and resources to further develop their project idea using their creative skills and expertise.
